Harry 'Butch' Pellow and Mike McMullen and Ian Macdonald jointly share the 2013 Annual Buckwheat Award for the most popular features on Michael J Morris Reports.
Butch wins for his wonderful story about the Boston Cafe and the Hong family in Chapleau, while Mike and Ian contributed an important piece to the history of Chapleau with their article on the location of the Hudson's Bay Company post.
They tied for most views even after I did an additional promotion for each of them to break it.
I extend my most sincere congratulations to Butch, Ian and Mike on their win, and thank them for their contribution to Chapleau history. On a personal basis they have been my friends for ages, and Mike is also my cousin.
Previous winners of the Buckwheat Award, named after my beloved cat who died in 2009, after running my life for more than 20 years, were Mike McMullen, Larry Martel and John Theriault. One of these years we may even get together for an awards ceremony.
